I just write

I just write

I turned to see my shadow,
And everything turned black.
I'm so tired of feeling hollow,
But wont turn back.
Another day is coming,
I have to remain strong.
But still my focus is,
On what I've done wrong.
So I hide inside,
These word, this rhyme.
Tyring to find something,
That's worth my time.
I can't escape history.
Or these flashing memories.
So I just write.
Using them as insight.

Well i like the rhythm, and dig your rhyme, your mesage however i would like to see next time be that which turned everything to black, and made you feel hollow? That's what i would like to read about. This was nice though. Writeon..........Tlady

My poem Life, Moving On might give you a little better idea of what turned everything black. Not one of my better poems, but it might help you understand this one.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
