I Live in the Third Grade

I am Queen in my world,
And castles are made of cotton balls in the sky.
    The birds sing my name,
and the sidewalk is hot lava.

    Hopscotch and tag,
    Jungle gyms and kick ball!
    Candyland and Old Maid,
and you can't forget GO FISH!

    Those days are still here,
Just invite that child back in.
A benefit to getting older is
Getting to stay out after the
    Streetlights come on.
