I Miss You

I Miss You

I made it through the day
Calling your name softly aloud and drifting along
Upon a cloud
Of sweet sounds your name created when whispered,
Drifting parallel against the winds.

Perhaps tomorrow I shall sail around the world
Inside myself,
Then to the island of your dreams.
Lay naked with you in sleep upon the beach, of Truth
Waiting for the tide of sunbeams to roll in
And spray us until we soak.
Drenched with fun and sun and laughter

But tonight, sometime before midnight tonight
I know loneliness will finally break through,
And I shall launch a thousand war ships within my mind,
Trying to protect myself
In a battle against that awesome loneliness
And being away from you.

An excerpt from:
"A Sad Song Don't Care Whose Heart It Breaks"
