I Told You So

I Told You So

I told you so, words of long ago, date that man his ways get to know,
Feels like he's in my hair, when I turn around, always there,
Not even my man, not even a pair,
He's always trying to keep track of what, when, and where,
Surrounding me like I'm in jail, hanging on my shirt tale,
I didn't ring his bell, I got a story to tell!
Went out once, just for lunch, felt the mood, so we touched,
Calling every day, just too much.
Now he's stalking started off one day I went walking,
I said friend, he said man, should have known by the way he was talking
Trying to figure out, what I'm about, trying to get rid of him no doubt,
Should have thought about that, before I turned him out.
He wants to stay, there is no way, there is no time for play,
Make a way, now today,
I said wait, just let me breathe, he said too late, he's not trying to leave,
He'll plead reason of insanity,
He's sitting in my house, need to be in the street,
Tension flying buzzing like a bee, there is no us, there is no we,
This can't be, can't he see?
Standing head-to-head looking all mean, his gun pulled out on the scene
This is reality, it's not a dream, said he couldn't be with no one but me,
Sweat popping from my head, I started to agree,
The gun got jammed, in God I believe, God stepped in right on time,
Yes indeed, Quiet and cold, this story is always being told,
Remeber the words on long ago, I told you so!
