I Wanna Be

I Wanna Be

When I grow up, I wanna be a poet.
Spit a phrase so tight, that all the kids quote it.
Pull a Nikki G and kidnap you with my Lines.
Paint with metaphors so clear, they could be seen by the blind.
Call to the world with nothing but ryhmes and meter,
I mean, what really could be sweeter.
To infuriate your mind with phrases of revolution and change,
then lose you in scenarios and situations so strange.
Capture you in my many volumes of treasure,
stimulate your morality with orgasmic pleasure.
Fillyou with infinite knowledge and wisdom,
and maybe even lead you to the "Lord's Kingdom".

When I grow up, I wanna be a writer,
Throw down lines that couldn't be tighter.
I want everybody to study my prose in English class,
the messages so encrypted that few would pass.
Give birth to an epic so long and real,
make all the preachers wonder if the bible is still the deal.
Not trynna be blasplamous, cause thats not my point,
I just want my shit to be as popular as that joint.
Long and short stories read by one and all,
in a trance from reading them you'd surely fall.

When I grow up, I wanna be famous.
Perform so tight that every audience has to exclaim it.
Tour the world in slam aftetr slam,
Take over the stage when i free-spit, like... blickety blickety, blam.
I what whenever you anyone thinks of the letter D,
I want them to only be able to think of me..........

This is just part of the slam poem I wrote called when i grow up/writer.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
