    Sleep

    Sleep
Sleep, sleep you soiled, spoiled child
For only in the serenity of sleep does the dragon mild,
Where its serpentine tongue can’t reach,
And the anger building won’t breach.

The price you pay for rented sanity,
Thinking that you can boughter eternity,
All the time all the while
You should be tunneling from beneath the pile
    Of lies and guanu
    That so obviously engulfing you.

Still though it’s not as bad as you think,
But here you stand right at the brink,
Teetering back and forth on the edge,
To keep control war against yourself you wage.

I have given you the answers, but you still don’t see the truth,
So I am going to make it clear, excuse me if it’s a lil uncouf.
But you see your perceptions, are just misconceptions, and it will lead to destruction, unless an interruption- some how takes place,
You’re going to have to face
Deal with all of your shames and glories,
Time for you to edit you life story.

    I like the depth....

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
