    I'M GROWN UP

    I'll always be your child
But right now the relationship is mild
For a long time you held the bow
The time has come for you to let me go
Can't you see I'm grown up?
People need their space they learn at their own pace
When you never give a chance you won't see them grow
    Mother realize I'm grown up
    I walked down the aisle
Short it was but it felt like a mile
    Fear quickly did rise inside
Just as fast it did subside
My vows proved I'm grown up
The biggest day of my life when i became his wife
Yet you say I'm not grown up
Didn't you see the beautiful sky?
Do you know how hard it was not to cry?
Looking around to see you not there
But all this my shoulders do bear
Hear me mom, I'm grown up.

If only our parents could let us move on!

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
