    In Vain

    Everything is in vain
    I walked for miles
    And didn't get anywhere
    Those whom I love
    Have forgotten my name
    Those who hate me
Can't make me feel the same
    Oh everything is in vain
My only goal was to learn
Now I know less than I knew then
Or who'll explain me the meaning
Of white roses on a young soldier's grave
    His innocence is gone
    Nothing will ever change
    He died in vain

    very good

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
