    INTUITION

If I decided to follow my intuition admonishing every whim
The circumstance of error would out shadow most of them
Yet coursing signs from tales to tale enables timid thought
Leaving only whispered waves of whimming reasons taught
I'm thinking now that maybe soon the seasons that remain
Or something not of interest will cause my mind to change
But what will think the conscience as human as it seems
Intuition only comes at times to add the human brain.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
