Isolation

Isolation

Like a baby in it's mother's womb
A prisoner on lockdown
A caged bird
And a dog chained to a fence
I'm locked in a dungeon within myself
Where I can't seem to find my way out.

As I stare into the abyss
That's within me
Searching for the black hole
Where my heart use to be,
Recollections of memories
Bombard my mind
Of moments I wish not to remembered.

As the isolation cloud surrounds me
Like a security blanket..I'm content
Like nothing could happen or cause me harm.
As the alienation feeling consume me
I find myself at peace,
A calmness that I know is wrong,
But the none the less a good one.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
