I heard the news last night
it got me thinking about a time
when all this
seemed like a myth
when i read the headlines
without a difference to my life
now its too close to home
runs a chill through my bones
its too close to the heart
don't know if i can still fight
when you talk of such ridiculous nonsense
claiming to be alone
with no friends to help
i mean woman what am i?
i have done whats within my power
i will gladly do it again
i just wish you would understand

why end it before it's prime?
times are rough
unbearable at best
its just a phase
a passing stage
one you will look back on and smile
coz you would have made it through alright
having learned your strengths.
