    Just a Breath

Just a breath that is neeful
I take this breath I live
    I lose it I die
    but if life is savaltion
    the death is desirable
    whats salvation without freedom
    whats freedom without struggle
    whats struggle without life
    whats life without pain

Listen to the sound of the night
    at dawn it disappears
    but echos through to dusk
    Oh! no condition is pamernent,
    one day we'll all have
our share of the bitter cup
our days of wilderness will come
our time to cry and mourn
our time of nightfall and tempest

My heart beat fast to rapture
    Oh! this breath I need
    Oh! the man I am
for fear grip my burdened soul
On my bed tonight I pray
    on more day to care
    one more day to share
    one more day to love
    one more day t bear

who woke me I can't tell
a hand unknown yet so mild
so I still live to ponder
    where life's journey takes me
for I know among life's wonders
    being awake is freshness
    being alive is good
    being prepare is better
    being yourself is best.

This was perfectly put I ponder life on a day to day basis and wonder what is coming next being yourself is best yet somedays hard to do we must move on to better ones to survive.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
