Just Let Me Finish

Poem Commentary

I wrote this for the teen at school who likes somebody and is to chicken to say something. Stand up, put your fear and ego aside, and just say "Hey".

Just Let Me Finish

We go to the same school,
We see each other in the hallways.
The only difference between me and you,
Is that I like you.

You may think that I have no chance in the world,
And maybe even wish I would disappear.
I could possible see where you are coming from,
But let me ask you,

Do you know me?

Once I open my mouth you shoot me down,
If you let me finish you'll know that the world's I'm saying will knock you down.

So let me finish and that heed to what I'm about to say,
You don't know me amd I don't know you,
But if I can finish I'll show you.
That everything is not as it seems.
