    Lights

Here I am, what do you think
my life is no open book
You see some light that you
    have made.
It speaks to me with no words
    what is this I see?
another light, is it for me
    You show me the way,
and how to just be me.
    the light of happiness
    with-in me.
    You tell me the truth
    and I do the same
    Our light will cross someday
    and the truth will remain
    in our lights and lives.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
