Little Toy Soldiers
Little toy SoldiersLittle Toy Soldiers of joy roam in my heart
Reminds me of the days when I was a child
The worry -free times, when I sang
The youthful song, played the child's game
Of life
Toys and cartoons were my life's center
Swimming, wasting imense energy on play
Flying, invincible men, were for me
Imagingation, my only childhood limit
Lost years which memories that still linger
Overzealous carefree friends and me
Adults didn't understand that I was immortal
I lived in a world with talking frogs and dancing bears
Alas, those were the days I loved
For thrusted upon me are adult responsibilities
But, the little toy soldiers roam in my heart forever.
