    Long lost child

The night was cool and wet
I stare into the fire, quiet and shy
And I shall not live to tell about the lie
The sacred promise of love and happiness
I peer through the window, but I feel as if noone looks back
I believe my future will be nothing but smoldering ashes
    No further will I go
Your just gonna leave me standing here?
Now listen babe, Im gonna be real
I love the way you make me feel
    Yeah you keep moving on
Don't pull me through because I'll tell you this
    I am nothing without you

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
