    Lost Love

So many words, so many lies
    funny how there's nothing left
to say we had our share of our
    days in the sun
    but we let the clouds
    get in the way
    who knew how high we
    could climb
until we get to the top
saw how far we could fall
    now that your gone
it's all I can do to keep from
    losing it all

Tell me what you wish on now
that our star has fallen from
the sky where did we go so wrong
in this love that was so long
and how did I kiss you goodbye

Letters, cards and pictures of you
I never thought they could look
    so old must been
    a fool
we had it all but it fell apart
    when our love grew cold
standing with you in the rain
    I feel so alone

    only now in the end
    can we drop our guard
    and be real
    wishing you well
    watching you go
I don't know what to feel

    Cause lately my heart keeps
telling me to run to you
I still can't believe your gone
But baby my mind keeps telling me
    that we are through
and telling my heart to move on.

I really enjoyed your poem your words are that of heartfelt passion yet I think the way you broke it up you should still add to for there are places that you broke that should have been on the line before it but i still love it so much emotion love is a grand thing but when you give someone your love and they dont give it back now thats a pain not many can bare and when one says its through and parts of your soul say move on and others are stuck in love its torture great poem keep up the geat writing i look forward to reading more of your poems

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
