    Lost Sight

Lost sight of what mattered the most
caught up in the tribulations of society
The greatest love of my life escaped my grasp
so miserable, so alone, so unhappy

    Uncertain how to prioritize
ended up losing it all in the process
Struggling trying my hardest to rebound
so ashamed, so hurt, such a mess

Lost focus of what was more important
trying to live my life in the fast lane
I lost the greatest gift ever given to me
so upset, so stupid, so much pain

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
