    Lost

    # 4 November 5 2003

The old ones mouth piece, Yet holds poised spears

Having been through life, Having seen and heard.

With aged hands and a heavy heart,

They have allowed young dreamers their adventurous lot.

They have been their to counsel you and me!

War is hell there is not doubt!

It wasn’t the old ones who? Sold! US! out!

Everybody is afraid there is no doubt!

We the People have, lost! Our! Clout!

    John Bird

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
