Love Beyond Fear

How to put into words what I feel inside my heart soul and mind

Most words I wrote were anything but fair and are usually never kind

My muse was once created out of heartache suffering and pain

Expression was something that helped me stay completely sane

Now I sit wondering how something can change so drastically

Emotions transfer years of pain and create a kind of love so radically

Thou my love is simple in the fact it is young and has yet to grow

All painful memories I forget as you give me eyes, a world you want to show

A point were heartache is not real and valiant dreams come true

A place to walk, land beneath my feet, a feeling of hope being around you

Hand in hand you help to lift me above all others in my way

Thundering boisterous word in my mind I do hear you say

Trust now is complete in the mind of someone once betrayed so cruel

The mask I take down and now I finally don’t look like the fool

Masquerade was my way to confuse the spirit of hate

Now I can be myself instead of faltering in the devils fate

Your romancing words have capture my thoughts and dreams

No chance for someone to play a game or create a scheme

I feel now that I am worth more than a wagering bet made out of lust

A window into you has given feeling of solvency letting me learn to trust

New feelings rush my body making me tremble from my head to my feet

New notes I write with my heartstrings on my music sheet

Now I know where I shall belong for time and all

In your arms my heart does fall

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
