    Love Defined

These words won’t be good enough. I mean internal verses could erupt, wade through this life that could corrupt, turn Shakespeare’s lines to wood and dust, splinter prose by Poe like a wooden crutch and it wouldn’t touch the feelings we have. It’s through the roof, like splittin’ ceilings in half! It had me reelin’, now this deal we’re sealin’ with hands, the left ones. All my days you’re healin’, you haven’t left one. You take my breath away like you stole my left lung. But you left rungs so I can step to you and arrange my priorities, step one God, step two, you. I can’t image giving my life except to you. I pray God will accept two new souls sharing life together. Don’t mind me staring, I like to gather all the caring you’re carrying, you’re carrying and wearing your light like an earring. And I pray I’m not erring, by airing my prayer, but all my life I felt impaired, like God left me alone. I couldn’t buy His presence, but then God left me a loan. You, my true present through whom God let me atone. And you, you lent me a tone that put a song in my heart where I once felt wrong. And now I long to impart to this scroll a part of my soul, when we’re apart, I’m not whole and my sun’s a bit colder. But my coal turns to gold when you cry on my shoulder. And though I know we’ll both die when we’re older, your love that I’m dyed with makes mine a bit bolder. And if you mine a bit deeper, you’ll see I don’t mind a bit that you’re more than a minor bit of my heart and mind’s orbit cuz you are my sun! My love will protect you like you are my son. God gave you to connect to cuz you are my sum. Take your demons from you and B-U-R-Y some. See, you are why some give into love and why we’re becoming one after living in two, love. I can’t wait ‘til I’m living in you, love, living in true love, cuz our love breathes. You feed me with all the hope that my love needs. My love breeds quotes that your love seeds. And I believe that your love bleeds real ornaments for my soul just like love beads. So tell all to come read our love creed that’s set in human concrete, become deeds and lead us through a life we can reap. We find rest like we can sleep! And your life’s beacon seeps in while you’re keepin’ and hold my art, then I saw you creep in and stole my heart and your crime pays! Now I’ve cried waves knowing that I’ll love you from earth’s first Friday to this groom and bride day until the day the eight lies sideways! I’ll decide ways to commit to your side, ways to commit where you reside, mentally commit suicide so I can live where you breathe inside and where you grieve, in sighs. A black angel who’ll slay all your demon-sized fears, tell all your demons I’m here and ready to fight! I hope you’re ready tonight, cuz I’ve told all, I found mine; a ten who’ll co-reside on cloud nine and will tell eleven times I want you to attend heaven’s climb. Because with you, heaven’s mine and the whole world can tell you’re Heaven sent because when I taste Hell, you’re Heaven’s scent! Precious to me like Heaven’s cents that Heaven’s spent. Coins that Heaven lent me to buy our love and don’t worry, we’ll Hav Plenty to use. God must have meant me to choose you amidst all the chaos in view. Without you, I’d be torn in two. We’re what that Capulet and Montague hoped to turn into. And with you, I’m learning to rebuild life’s bridge that I’ve burned in two, because I’m more than in love, it’s like I’ve merged in you. Worked since birth just so I could first win you, my boo. You’re the eyes I cry through, smarter than my IQ, you flow right, just like my haiku. You’re my voice of reason, what you start to say, I do and my life won’t start ‘til you say “I do!”

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
