    Love Missed

    Love Missed

My heart so full, it will burst, explode,

My nerves, on fire, so exposed,

My tears, they run free for you,

My blood, it burns, scorching though,

My soul dies when you are gone,

My dreams fill all nights so long,

My body yearns, begs and craves,

    My thoughts, so very depraved,

It is with every step I make,

    Every moment spent awake,

And the very breath that I take,

That my love for you is being told,

It is only your precious body, I want to hold.

Your smell, your taste, sustain me.

Your hope, your dreams, provoke me,

Your arms, your love, fulfill me.

You are my life lived and lost.

So many new heights, you have taken me,

Why now, have you forsaken me?

Emptiness, loss, grief, this the testament of my love,

    Joy, happiness, futile and forgotten,

You face four walls, bars, danger.

Yet it is I that is left,

Crying, staring out a window, you don’t have.

Our longing for love is the magnet that draws God into our broken hearts, for He cannot get in until it is opened by the treachery, abuse and unconscionable indifference of His opposite number.

It pours its feelings immensely. Seemingly not holding back a drop. So much to give yet none to give it to.....or maybe it is like.....gave so much, yet the reciever left it behind. Good written emotion.

this is really good. its sad and lost and small. keep it up

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
