Love When I Sleep

Love When I Sleep

As I lay you on my chest to pat your little back,
I realize for you and me there's no turning back

You are my gift from god, sent from the heavens above
You have filled my heart with an abundance of love

As I feel your cheek press against mine
I am so very certain that you are divine

Then as I hear your breath in my ear, I feel the lump
in my throat, as I choke back a tear

So I kiss  your little hands, your arms and your little feet
Oh, Madison God has made you so sweet

You have filled a space in my heart so deep
As I lay my head down,

I'll feel love when I sleep

Lovely, sincere motherhood and passionate. I hope your daughter will understand the value of such a feeling when she grows up.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
