    Love

Love is like a frail portrait pealing  away the pieces. Each layer containing a photo of the lost things that love can’t heal. The beating of the heart is lessoned by each broken place. You gave up on me love , now I must give up on you. You whom I have given my life to just to see you die. You are my curse not my love, with your firmness and your brown layers of skin. Peal back those things that love dare not say. You are not my friend I don't need you anymore. Love is nothing but things worse to come, like hate and pain and sadness . So much sadness tearing at my spirit I am humble no more.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
