    Lovers Loss

    Shattering pieces of my Heart
    Hitting the floor.
    As you were slipping away.
Shaking as the thousands of tears
Drench the my pain and sorrow
    Filled eyes.

Falling to the floor I “cry harder”
    Praying and Pleading
    “God Please”
    Please don’t take him away!

A precious little voice sooths my heart
    I hear
    Twinkle Twinkle little star
“It’s going to be okay Mommy”
    Daddy will be alright

    My heart just raced violently
    Screaming
    I can’t lose another Love
    Not Now
    Not Him
    I Love Him!

The loss of love can be very painful and the loss of a loved one that is truly loved is even harder to deal with. but you've taken a step in the right direction with a little self therapy in the form of your poem. Well done dear! Doug

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
