    Love's Absence

    Silence, stillness
    Nothing new
    Consequences of life
    Without you

Our children miss you, ,question, and cry
Live without you we must, but why?
Once upon a time, we had it all
Numbing torment, we too did fall

Was it you, was it me?
    Probably we never will agree
Either way, it's clear to see

You are my love, you are my life
I am your world, I am your wife
Weather this storm, we can, we will
Even though now, it's all uphill

I loved you then, I love you now
That love won't end, it doesn't know how

Time, distance, keeps us at bay
But no boundaries can hold our hearts away

    Intertwined, we will always be
No one else but you and me

I miss you my dearest love

Wow! This is really very good!!! You have so very eloquently abstracted love, pain, commitment, and desire. Really great job. Thanks for sharing. Def. a 10 from me. Marcus

Thank you so very much!!! Love is such a complex thing isn't it? It seems like words can not capture it adequately enough, no matter how we try. I really appreciate your kind words, have a great holiday weekend! God Bless!

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
