    Loving You

    The best I can do
    Loving you
    The way I do.

    Distance does not matter
    Silence will not alter
    Love shall not falter
Leila shall remain dearest ever after.

Never a doubt in your heart
    Although miles apart
Know that I loved you from the start
Now you have stolen my heart.

Thoughts of you in the morning
And visions of you in the evening
    Thoughts of our Boston meeting
    Memories never ending.

    This father shall keep trying
Even if the nights see me crying
To reach out to my daughter
To tell her how much I love her.

    Family pictures I have none
Nither the ties nor the fun
Of being a child in the sun
Alone again, when the day is done.

    Childhood woes were many
    Never understood any
Times I would wander in the wilderness
    Searching for answers amidst emptiness.

Happiness is knowing you are there
Safe and sound and how you fare
Wherever you go, whatever you do
My love and blessings go with you.

    The best I can do
    Loving you
    The way I do.

Very touching, I can sense true feelings in this one. Distance is a killer though, but love will always withstand no matter what.... I wish you the best with your daughter....

    thank you Ray

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
