    Mac-Battle

    It was Mac-battle time,
The time any man’s life could vanish with just one hit
So with our heads high we stroll through the bushes
Hoping to never become friends with the enemies bullets.

So on command, we approach the enemies’ territory
Blending in with our “camo”, praying that we would never be seen nor caught
Because with just one mistake, we would be at mercies feet
Begging for our borrowed lives that we had never even bought.

    There we waited until night-fall
to infiltrate their base and kill at our command
But it was not as easy as it sounds
With the guards patrolling the areas, we had to watch our backs and quick with our hand

For it is teamwork that have us yet alive
moving stealthily and swiftly like the wind when it dances the branches of the palms
And with our firm confidence and spirit,
It guided us as though we were under God’s arms.

So in we move, capturing a guard in our range, torturing him
Like he would do if it was one of own men, so his neck we snapped with our hand
And lifelessly he fell to the ground, but fell with such a thud
It sounded as though it was a “boom drum”, playing in a band.

Spotted by the sound, we were heavily under attack
So for cover we rushed armed with our guns and knives
    Shooting without mercy
Knowing we were fighting for our lives.

While we were there, I saw the glazing bullets as they past me by
Hunting like wild bees, busy to make their honey
So to fire back, I got up but went back down shortly for I was shot,
And there before me I saw my life, leaving me behind, as though, I was too small for the journey.
