    Poem Commentary

The ending is sort of confsing but its just basically saying, " I already knew you wouldn't understand". Thanks for reading hope you enjoyed. Please feel free to suggest any changes. Thanks again.

Maybe, Should I Talk To You

               Words can't even
                      begin,
to express the way i feel,
    I don't have a clue why they won't,
I don't ever think they will as soon
                     as i start
to speak my body begins to turn cold
     still continuing to freeze
as time continues to grow old
Where am i at? In the near future where will I be.
There's NOTHING else I can do, but to wait here
                     by myself
    to find out and see.
Trying to picture the day, and that day i'll see.
Why? all this happening especially to me.
                        Maybe
I'll end up in front of you
                     s
                      p
                         i
                          l
                           l
                             i
                              n
                                g

out words, Knowing it could never happen
    I'll never be heard
I wish you could understand me the way i do.
Sorry you won't know to bad i already knew.

Every struggle we have with being understood by others, first begins with the larger struggle of understanding them... For, if we cannot do that, we doom ourselves to speak a different language where much of us is simply lost in translation... A good write...

Hi Keanna, Your poem was interesting. It spoke loudly of a sense of fear and uncertainty of the future, and projected a feeling of being alone without being heard or understood. Sweetie, I wanted to let you know that life is a continual journey ,and everyone at one time or other has had these very same feelings. We never "arrive" in our lives, but are always changing and evolving. Life is a school from birth to death, and we are always learning. Know that God is watching over and cares for you and your life.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
