    Michael Milton II

    Meekly you approached me
Inventively working on a master plan
    Charismatic as you are
How could I refuse your hand
    Always willing to listen
Eager to discover what not to do
Little did I know, you were taking notes
as I poured my heart out to you

    Methodical you were
    Intelligent I must say
Loving me for being me......, has me
Thinking....you are wise beyond your years
you must have been here before
    On another plane
Never have I felt so connected
I never want us to part

II I saw determination in your eyes
I knew my life was just now
                                 going to start

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
