    Midnight Ride

    Through the midnight darkness
    Upon her silver steed
    She gallops through the wilderness
    To fulfill her nightly deed

The wind tugs her silk black hair
    Her silver dress ripples behind
    Her emerald eyes wildly
Of what's racing through her mind

    Searching through the wild
    On no visual path
    Nothing can seem to quell
    Her ever seething wrath

The trees bend at her will
    Shrubs move to the side
Rivers stop flowing at her beckoning
    On her Midnight ride

    Her heart aches in agony
Of the love she lost that night
She took the killer's life in revenge
Not knowing two wrongs don't make a right

    Bound by her deadly curse
A ghost she will always remain
    Locked between life and death
She replays the scene in pain

    On a clear summer's night
    To me, please head
If you look into the darkness you'll see
A lovely girl on silver steed

I enjoyed reading this poem. It took me on the journey with you I could feel myself upon my stalion riding along with you to the very end. Trevon

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
