    Mirages and Vanities

    These vanities of mine
    how deep they run
    like still waters
    at mid sea
    wave-less
    un-rippled…

    …imitating the

    twilight beams
    bobbing
    up and down
    my flesh
    reducing me at times
    to a mere verse

    I was an island-

    You used to say

    Ah!now I’ve

    morphed into a mirage

    Care to leave

    your footprints there ?

this takes my breath away while at the same time gripping my heart. A gorgeous write

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
