Poem Commentary

She's Nagin(queen Cobra) whose mating with Nag (king Cobra) lay unfinished when death with its cruel hands snatched him away .Now, she smells her tormentors and revenge is just a hiss away

Nagin

The warbles from
charmer's been
flow in smooth ecstasy
glide
slither
caress
the contours
of her sensuous soul
unlock
the scent of her Nag
several moons ago
when his breaths
mingled with
the sensual jasmine
flowed like a river
in eternal spate
through her tempestuous core
and intoxicated sighs

till...
death dressed
in  garb
of a stealthy visitor
snatched her knight away
reducing her
to a lonesome wisp
forever lost
in the jasmine bush
craving
beckoning
her mate's
throbbing flesh.

~Now entranced~
~Now mesmerized~
She sways~
and sways~
~till she's no longer
a mass of
flesh ,bones and blood~
~but a frenzy fusion~
of his kiss~
his touch~
his sigh~
his flesh~
she's the Nagin~
the drops
of unquenched thirst
still glistening
on her untamed sensuality
she raises her hood~

Good choice of words and images........................

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
