    My daughter

                     My daughter
My daughter so precious to me,
My heart aches that I had to set you
                           free.
I wish I could tell you in words
              what you mean to me,
and how I want you to be all you
               would like to be.
So my daughter don't feel blue,
because all my love I give to you.
and even though right now we are
                        far away,
you are in my thoughts each and
                       everyday.
I want you to know even though
I had to set you free,
my love for you will always be.

That's so touching it really struck a nerve for me cause I have two girls myself and creating them is the best thing I've done and this really inspires me to write one of them.

thankyou so much on your kind words of my poem. I hope you do write one about your daughters. Linda

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
