my day

my day

Wake up in the morning

 Everything is so boring

I wait for you to make my day bright

When you smile you fill it with light

 My fears are pushed away

At night in happiness I lay

 But now I wait

For I can’t act when it is already too late

 There will be a day

When I’ll lose you in dismay

When that day comes

 I will be so lonesome

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
