    My Delicate Muse

    My Delicate Muse

    His delicate touch
    Upon my skin
    Puts me at ease
    The whiteness
    Of his fingertips
    Against my tawny skin
    Sending endless waves
    Of pure delight
    Throughout

    His delicate kiss
    Against my lips
    Pressing towards me
    Fills me up
    To the brim
    I am captured
    By his taste
    Upon my lips
    Rather sweet
    In its delight

    His delicate fragrance
    Charges the air
    Encompassing me
    Within the darkness
    Seeking solace
    I find him near
    Breathing him in
    My knees
    Become weakened

    My delicate muse
    You are exquisite
    My delicate muse
    You are intriguing
    My delicate muse
    Near or far
    Still
    You are
    My delicate muse

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
