    My last Christmas...

Mistletoe, you gotta go!You see, this is suppose to be my last Christmas without her.All year long that's what I was hoping it would be.This years tinsel was suppose to be put on the tree by her and me.Under the tree, it's as empty as my heart.Dreaming of a White Christmas, Holiday Glee, not me.
As I look at one stocking I try to convince myself, all of this, it's just something I forgot.Because this is suppose to be my last Christmas without her,                                   But it's not.

                                         I bought you something anyway.

The holidays are lonely and worse when you can't be with the one that you love. One day you will look back and find someone that you can share everything with. Good poem.

Thank you. But the type came out wrong. It didn't post the way I wrote it. And that took something away from it. Thanks again.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
