    My Wife, Lover and Friend

     So many times we start and end our day
    with few words or nothing much to say.

    I want you to know that my love for you has no end.
    I'm proud to have you as my wife, my lover, my friend.

    We've been married for many years and
    There have been times when we both shed tears.

    But the tears were replaced with God's grace and joy.
    And I'm proud that you're my girl and I'm your boy.

    I hope these words put a smile on your face
    For the love we have could never be erased.
    The love I have for you will never end.
    You're more than a Wife,
    You're my Lover and
    always my Friend.

    I loved it! I have been married for 23 years and can soo relate to this. The silent times are always so hard for me to get through. Write on.....

    Thanks for your comment and I pray that you continue to stay strong in your marriage and let nothing come between you and your spouse. My wife and I found out that date night once or twice a month keeps the spark new. Listen to your heart in the silent times and reclaim the marriage you desire. Thanks again.

    Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
