    My Wildest Dreams

my wildest dreams aren't really wild at all
they are but simple little visions that stand
    so straight and tall
they represent those truths that quietly lie
within - anxious to emerge into life's
    challenging whirlwinds - certain there's a
chance to reign in triumph over them
so confident and proud - riding high like
the clouds on a chariot of happiness
that knows no pain or sorrow
    free of tears and hopelessness
    never remembering what has been
but what is to be for better not worse
    imagining the joy of tomorrow
based upon the gift of cheerful yesterday
reassured of perfect peace and harmony
    having to fight no more
for all battles have now been won
    I Am Victory

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
