    Mystery

    What do you really know
You think you know me well from head to toe
    Well think again mister
I have news for you sister
    I am a mystery

Exotic and mild, sometimes spicy rarely wild
I dance unrestrained to my own beat
    Elusive and unobtrusive
Avoiding capture as i also avoid escape
Who do you think i am? a woman or a child?
    I tell you i am a mystery

Would you like to take my hand
I'll show you where i live
Where i dance on the sand
On a beach bathed in moonlight
Do you know who i am ?
    I am a mystery

    All those who  thought
They could buy me with gold or silver
Watched me disappear as if into thin air
    I slipped through their fingers
    Causing pain to their livers
    Think agin if you can,am i a boy? am i a man?
    I tell you i am a mystery

I am the essence of your thoughts
Highly sought after, but never  bought
Hues of blue, hues of black and all that's inbetween
Always having color so vivid, I'd make technicolor livid
I am dynamic and change shape
    Amoeboid and very fluid
Hot and sometimes cold, from my fingers to my toes

Catch me if you can and give me the kiss of life
Rescue me from the prison of this dome-shaped shell
I long to be nurtured in your fertile womb
I long to be suckled by your ample breasts
    Resurrected from the tomb
Where others like me have been buried
I await to be birthed, i await to be unearthed
I am your dreams waiting to come true

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
