    Never Ending Story

You asked me why I said those words
I didn’t know how to reply
It was too much risk to take
But you had to know the truth
    Everything I couldn’t fake
    Losing you, I couldn’t take

    Cause maybe it’s you
    Maybe it’s you girl
    I’ve been waiting in line
For things to come out fine

You’re scared that things get complicated
Well I know that its hard
    So we’re in this together
Wont you tell me honestly how you feel?
    You don’t have to pretend
We’ll never let our story end

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
