    Night Before Christmas

I know you have herd it told before
this wonderful story of old folk lore,
about a man who comes at night,
in a slay moved by reindeer flight,
who wears a suit of holiday red
and sits and waits till we're all in bed,
then down our chimney he does go,
even if there is rain or snow,
to pay a visit to good girls and boys
and leave them wonderful Christmas toys.
Then on his nose a finger he'll lay
and float up the chimney back to his slay.
Then he and his reindeer will fly out of sight
but not before wishing a Merry Christmas to all
and to all a good night.
