    Obscured Divinity

    I sit
    I stand
Fall asleep and let you take me by the hand

    We go
    We see
There's not a whole lot left on Earth for me

    When we're together
    When we're apart
Nothing's changed, its just the beat of my own heart

    I call to you
    You call to me
(Seems each night) I have to live the same old memory

    Open up your eyes
    Open up your eyes
    Open up your eyes

    I cannot see you

    Now I stand
    Then I sit
(Just when it starts) to seem I can't take any more of it

    Now we see
    Then we go
(We've taken flight) and where we're heading I don't want to know

    Why can't we be together?
    Why must we be apart?
(This is something) that would end before it had a chance to start

    You call to me
    I call to you
(I wake up sweating) and forgetting that you love me too

    Open up my eyes
    Open up my eyes
    Open up my eyes

    This can't be me

    This isn't me

    Just let me see

    Who I could be

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
