Three minutes to dawn

Awakening again amidst anxiety's allusions
to a day long gone and a tomorrow yet unseen

Becoming bereavement beckons bluntly
to accept the phantom uncertainty of what soon will have been

Carefully catching, cautiously continuing, contemptuously corroding
as eyes remain closed, but see from within

Daring defiance, detesting doubts, disproving deception
as braving the darkness, determined to win

Very interesting. I find when I begin to feel overwhelmed with fears of the unknown it's always best to place it in the Master's hands. Just pray and he will calm your storm. Lovely piece though...nice use of words. something I look for in a writer.

I can feel this shit dog especially,...determined to win". "Awakening again amidst anxiety's allusions", I know what it is like to stay woke all night with a fear of lying down but is good and so is this poem

Very very nice poem. The poet exhibits a level of refinement and poetic grace that is missing from most works.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
