ode to jane

I ran into an old flame . We sat for a while reminicing about
times past. And she asked if I was trying to rekindle the
fire we once shared. I had to be honest, I hadn’t given it much
thought. “To bad,” she said,” I really enjoyed the felings we
had between us.” She told me she had a ball getting under
my skin. I’d like to tell you about her, but I’m not sure where
to begin. Well she has always been my favorite red haired
green eyed girl. She liked me to call her Janie or Jane. She
made me use her middle name cuss I wasn’t her only flame.
And people get jeolous when they want to be your
one and only, especially when your theirs. But I know the
real deal. You gotta get in where you fit in. Shes a true player, a gold digger for those of you who know. Cuss if you got the flow shes
good to go, but if your broke she won't’even come to the door.
As we sat I basked in the aroma of her brite red hair. The type
that lingers on your fingers when your playing with it. Just long
enough to make you want her more and more. I remember the
euphoric energy emitted from her softest kiss, and how she
stoled my breath with her most passionate ones. She nevere lied
and said I was her one and only. She only smiled when I kissed
her and made me glad that she would hold me. She got me
through tough times. She laughed with me for the good times,
and she never left when it rained. So the truth in this statement
will always remain.
 “I Love You Mary Jane!”

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
