On a rainy day...
A kiss..a touch on the window pane
sliding the glass, peeking out to feel the rain
A drop on my forehead, I look up to see
gushing upon, they fall past me..
touching the ground
they soak into a tip tap sound
A pool of raindrops
calling me to play around
Away go my slippers, naked are my feet
running outside….ignoring the concrete
Ma calls - where are you going? Put on a raincoat,
don’t you come back to me with a running nose!!
The trees hustle, making a sound
The wind says “magic”…sweeping the ground
clouds close in…drawing a thicker blanket
my skirt spins cold, my legs aren’t listening..
a sudden stop.
a slush... a lull
cracking into the puddle, staring at my feet
gleaming back, they look so free.
sliding the glass, peeking out to feel the rain
A drop on my forehead, I look up to see
gushing upon, they fall past me..
touching the ground
they soak into a tip tap sound
A pool of raindrops
calling me to play around
Away go my slippers, naked are my feet
running outside….ignoring the concrete
Ma calls - where are you going? Put on a raincoat,
don’t you come back to me with a running nose!!
The trees hustle, making a sound
The wind says “magic”…sweeping the ground
clouds close in…drawing a thicker blanket
my skirt spins cold, my legs aren’t listening..
a sudden stop.
a slush... a lull
cracking into the puddle, staring at my feet
gleaming back, they look so free.
