    ON EAGLE'S WINGS

O still small voice grant grace that I might hear
Beyond all noise Thy tidings, "Have no fear".
Thou Hound of Heaven petrify my soul
Heart, flesh and even, vacuum-like, a hole
Make of my mind. My conscious self desist!
Mine eyes be blind, await Thy Lover's tryst.
Dear flame of love burn darkly in my heart
Thus brightly prove how great Thou only art.
Nor suckling babe's pap cram Thou into me
But Thy great void filled with infinity.
Thus shall I sleep, a nothing filled with All,
On Eagle's Wings to rise with Thee in thrall.
All time, all space, all worlds. All nought to Thee.
Save Thou createst, nought would ever be.

Save Thou createst, naught would ever be. I loved it but it could use some spell check, but the feelings and thoughts were flowing freely and that I think is the true process of real poetry. Good work. XOXOX...~M~

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
