    One Day You'll Need Me

One Day you'll need me and I'll be gone
You'll need me and you'll think I 'm doing you wrong
Oh yes I can see it now, you calling for me
Whining and complaining like a child in need
It might be for money, or just my love and care
But it doesn't matter because I will not be there
You may wonder why not, but blame no one but you
For it wasn't me that did the things you do

When I reached out you withheld your hand
Time and time and time, over and over again
I needed your love as a baby needs its mother
But you turned away from me and went to others
As a child, your own flesh and blood
When I needed you most you withheld your love
But when friends came around you were quick to brag
On the daughters you never loved but "HAD"

And you mother who never was like her name
shouldn't have raised you in her cruel game
Your father, an angel, trapped in hell's embrace
Yet he never changed or showed me a cruel face
And yet you only have his name but not his love
For the love he shows us rains from above
My sister and I are unique, beautiful, and loved by our mom
Who tries her best to protect us and keep from harm

Oh yes one day, a day I can't wait to see
When I'll no longer need you but you'll need me

OH YES, YOU'LL NEED ME  (= HAHAHA

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
