Only a moment

Momentary collapse of reason
Hold close those who you love
Tomorrow is a new day
Is the sadness really worth it
This twisted storm that destroys
This wicked soul that lies
The truth is within your heart
But who's to say its true
Something has come over you
The collapse of all you are
It only took a moment
You only took a chance
Regret is holding heavy over head
The weight is unbearable at times
Free your soul
It also is only a moment
Don't take life for granted
The door is wide open
Suddenly in a moment
The storm has passed

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
