    Pandora's Box

You came and lit the spark
The flame burned deep within my soul
You made me feel alive again
You made me feel wanted and loved

    Now you are gone

    The flame has died

My love is ready to be enclosed

    A box awaits

    Close the lid

    Let it stay shut forever

    My love for you

    Safe

    Secure

    Mine

Buried deep where no-one can see

    Or touch

    Or take away

    My box

    No key.

WOW! Your poem is intense! Something about no key bothered me. I took it as almost you were shut down forever and that makes the poem really sad. I think I would like it better with My box being the last words--Just my oponion. Keep writing!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
